Murrayshall Country House Hotel Wedding

Laura & Connor got married at the beautiful Murrayshall Country House Hotel in Perth.

The weather was a bit all over the place at times but an hour before the ceremony the sky cleared and they were able to set up for an outdoor wedding. The staff at Murrayshall were great and quickly re-organised to get everything set up outside in the rose garden for the ceremony.

Laura and her bridal party got ready upstairs in the bridal suite (which is huge by the way) and I was able to capture some great images of everyone getting ready and enjoying the morning.

The ceremony itself was beautiful. It was a short and simple humanist service with a handfasting and quaich. As you will see from Laura's face, I don't think she is much of a whisky drinker!

After the ceremony, the guests moved to the front of the venue for the confetti throw. Sometimes these can be a bit of a headache to organise and get right but Eilidh, the wedding coordinator, and her staff were on hand to help line guests up and make sure they all had their confetti ready and I'm really pleased with how the shots turned out.

We managed to get through most of the family and bridal party photos before the rain made an unwelcome return but fortunately, we were able to finish the rest off inside.

Next came the speeches and then everyone settled down for the meal. Now about halfway through dinner, I noticed a really nice looking sunset outside and I couldn't resist grabbing Laura & Connor for a quick sunset session. Thankfully they were up for it and I'm so happy they were as the images are some of my favourites from the day.

I used the time after dinner to try and capture as many candid moments as I could. This is usually one of the best times of the day to grab these sorts of photos as people are relaxed and having fun with each other and often don't notice me with my camera.

The night ended with the couple's first dance, a father and daughter dance, and then a good old-fashioned ceilidh! It was a really fun night and a great way to end the day.

I'm so grateful to have been a part of Laura & Connor's special day and to be the one to capture all these wonderful memories for them.
