FAQ
How do I secure my booking?
A £200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your final balance. You will also need to sign a contract and fill out a short questionnaire. This is all done via an easy to use online client portal.
Why is my deposit non-refundable?
The deposit amount is non-refundable as once your chosen wedding date is secured, my services are no longer available to other prospective clients and I would have to turn down opportunities that may arise on the said date.
How can I make a payment?
Payments can be made via bank transfer or PayPal using the online client portal.
When is my final payment due?
The final payment will be due approximately one month prior to the date of your wedding.
What's with the weird names of your photography packages?
I did tell you that I'm a massive geek! The package names are all subtle nods to my favourite TV show, Breaking Bad. If you're also a fan then I hope you picked up on them! :)
What happens if I need to cancel your services?
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel my photography services then simply send me an email confirming the cancellation. As mentioned above, the deposit amount would be non-refundable. If a cancellation is made less than a month before your wedding date then the full amount paid would be non-refundable.
What areas do you cover?
I cover most areas within the Central Belt of Scotland. This includes areas such as Greater Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Lothian, and Fife.
Any locations outwith this general area will include a mileage charge of 45p per mile. If overnight accommodation is required this will be charged at £80 per night.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, I have Public Liability Insurance for an amount up to £1 million.
Proof of this can be provided if required.
What time will you arrive and leave on our wedding day?
The timings on the day depend entirely on your schedule! I like to work closely with my couples to make sure I have a good idea of the timeline so that I can capture all the important moments. I will arrive early enough to capture the wedding preparation right through to the first few dances. Every wedding day is different so I am entirely flexible with my schedule.
When will we receive our photographs?
I like to try and have all the images from your day fully edited and delivered as quickly as possible so I normally work towards a 3-6 week turnaround but in most cases, it's sooner than this.
I also like to deliver a few of my favourite images within the first 48 hours just to give a little sneak peek of what's to come!
How will our photographs be delivered?
Your photographs will be uploaded to a private online gallery. I will send you a link once the gallery is ready to view. You can then share this link with friends and family members. There is also a mobile application version of the gallery which can be installed on your mobile device, making it easier to view and download your images.
Are there any usage restrictions on our photographs?
Nope! The images are yours to do with as you please. Plaster them all over social media or print them out and frame them. All I ask is that you tag me in any photos that you post on Facebook or Instagram as it helps promote my business to potential new clients!
Will we have a pre-wedding consultation and when would this take place?
Yes, a pre-wedding consultation is included in all of my wedding collections. This can take place at a time and place to suit you. A face to face meeting somewhere within the Central Belt of Scotland would be ideal but if that's not possible then we can always chat on the phone, Zoom or Skype if you prefer.
Can you supply a USB drive for our photographs?
Yes. The Blue Crystal collection doesn't include a USB drive however, I can supply this for an additional cost of £65 including delivery. Please get in touch if you would like to add this to your booking. All other wedding collections have a USB drive included.
I feel awkward in front of a camera, do you have any tips?
I always suggest booking an engagement or pre-wedding shoot as it's a great way to calm the nerves and get used to having me in front of you with a camera! I prefer to take more relaxed and candid shots of people with minimal posing. Most of the time I'll just suggest holding hands and going for a walk (with your partner, not me!)
