Intimate wedding at the popinjay hotel

Carol & Scott had an intimate wedding at the Popinjay Hotel & Spa on a wonderfully warm and sunny day surrounded by their closest friends and family.

The day started with Carol, the kids, and her bridesmaids getting ready at Carol's mum's house. There wasn't much room to maneuver but I managed to capture some great candid images of the bridal party getting ready.

Carol was helped into her dress by her mum and then it was time to head off to the Popinjay!

The ceremony was small and intimate with Carol and Scott's kids lighting candles to symbolise their bond as a family.

Scott and all his groomsmen, including his young son, all wore superhero cufflinks from the Marvel and DC comics which was a nice detail.

After the ceremony, the videographer and I had all the guests line up on opposite sides of the path outside ready to throw confetti as the bride and groom walked past. It worked really well and I managed to get some great shots.

The Popinjay has a large outdoor area with some great photo locations, one of which being the chair swing. As you will see from the photos below, the kids absolutely loved it!

The reception came along very quickly and it was soon time for the speeches to begin.

The best man's speech was very very funny, the details of which definitely can't be shared here!

The Bride & Groom finished the night by cutting the wedding cake and then doing their first dance.

It was a really great day and a lot of fun to photograph!
